The 1999 Happy Meal promotion at McDonalds in England featured the same Teenie Beanie Babies given out in the USA's 1998 Happy Meal promotion. The Teenie Beanie Babies were individually packaged in small plastic bags and given to customers who purchased a Happy Meal. There were 12 different Teenie Beanie Baby animals in this promotion. In the UK promotion, USA's Happy had been renamed Percival. The 1999 Teenie Beanie Baby promotion in the UK was accompanied by similarly themed Happy Meal bags, McDonalds signs and other McDonalds items.
