2009 McDonalds promotion - USA

The 2009 Happy Meal (30th anniversary) promotion at McDonalds ran from April 11 through May 15. Each Teenie Beanie Baby was individually packaged in a plastic bag and given for free to customers who purchased a Happy Meal. In most McDonalds restaurants, the Teenies could also be purchased separately, without a food purchase. There were 30 different Teenie Beanie Baby animals and characters in this promotion. Each Teenie Beanie Baby in the 2009 promotion came with a code inside of the swing tag that could be used to log in and play games or other activities online at happymeal.com or ty.com. The 2009 Teenie Beanie Baby 2.0 promotion was accompanied by similarly themed Happy Meal boxes, McDonalds signs and other McDonalds promotional items.
