COUNTERFEIT ALERT
Counterfeit versions of Scorch exist. Check for the following common indicators
before purchasing this Beanie Baby:
1. The counterfeit Scorch fabric is almost identical to the fabric
on the authentic Scorch, but the felt used for the spikes on the counterfeit is
lighter in color and too thin. 2. Counterfeit versions may be
missing their nostrils. 3. The tongue on a counterfeit is too
long, lignter in color and unflocked. 4. The counterfeit's eyes
are two-tone. An authentic Scorch has solid-color eyes.
5. The paper used for the swing tag on a counterfeit version is too
thin and the holes are irregularly punched. The counterfeit swing tag has
different font styles on the inside right and left sides of the tag. The font on
both sides should be Comic Sans. 6. The tush tag on a
counterfeit Scorch is slightly wider than the authentic tush tag. The red star
is too big and slightly elongated. The font used for Scorch's name is incorrect
on the counterfeit version's tush tag.
