Ty, Inc. created Star to honor Skip Ungrodt. Skip was the former president and chairman of Ideation Inc. Mr. Ungrodt passed away in January 2003. Ideation's Star (this blue star version) has a dedication, "For Skip...our special angel!" on the inside left side of the swing tag. The retail version of Star with the gold star does not have a dedication.
