Ty Jingle Beanies family
Jingle Beanies are Ty's decoration and gift product line for the winter holidays. They were first introduced to retailers on September 9, 2001, at the Boston Gift Show. They were introduced at the Ty online site on September 17, 2001.
The first nine Jingle Beanies were Loosy, Quackers, Rover, Twigs, 1997 Teddy, 1998 Teddy, 1999 Teddy, Peace and Halo.
Jingle Beanies are smaller than regular Beanie Babies but made from the same material. They have loops so they can be hung as decorations, or attached to gifts. The first set of Jingle Beanies released by Ty did not have bells inside of them. After the first set, most of the Jingle Beanies had either internal bells or bells attached to their clothing.
In 2007, Ty released the first Jingle Beanie key-clips, exclusively in the UK. The first UK key-clip versions have a metal key holder attached to their loop, but they do not have bells.
The last new Jingle Beanies (with Jingle Beanies swing tags) were released in 2008. In 2009, Ty started a new product line for the holidays named Baby Beanies. This new product line replaced the Jingle Beanies. Ty did not announce any new Jingle Beanies after 2008. On August 30, 2013, Ty's trademark for "The Jingle Beanies Collection" was cancelled.
