This is the first version of America. All profits from the sale of the blue America were
donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for
9/11.
On September 28, 2001, a Ty-signed blue America was listed
on eBay by a Ty employee to raise money for the American Red
Cross. The auction ended on October 5, 2001 with a high bid
of $24,000. The winning bid was submitted by eBay user
Ryebypost from the UK.
